Rose Gregori, age 78, well known Dushore resident, passed away on Sunday, at the Robert Packer Hospital.

Rose was born in Wilmot Township, on May 7, 1937 a daughter of the late Thomas R. & Margaret Farley Taffe. She graduated from St. Basil's High School High School a member of the class of 1956.

She married Michael Gregori on February 7, 1957: they celebrated 58 years of marriage last February.

Rose began working as a waitress a Murray's in Dushore and later at the Rustic Coffee Shop. She and Mike ran a Custard Stand in Dushore for several years. She began working for Penn State Extension service as a nutritionist for over 15 years before she suffered injuries from an auto accident.

She was a member of St. Basil's Catholic Church in Dushore, and a member its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a loving spouse, mother and grandmother. She and some other ladies were involved in the formation of the Ladies Auxiliary at Loyalsock Post #996 American Legion in Dushore. She was a 4H leader for many years supervising as many as 200 youngsters in some events. She was willing to help anyone with their problems and will be missed by the entire community.

Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas G. Taffe on March 3, 2005 and a sister, Susan Lewis, on July 2, 2001; a niece, Diane Taffe on Jan. 29, 1979 and two nephews, Joseph G. Taffe on Aug. 12, 2004, and Michael R. Taffe on April 19, 2014 and a brother-in-law: Jack Charnitski on November 17, 2015.

A Transferal Service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil's Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Richard Rojas, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.

There will be a recitation of the Rosary at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home by members of IHM Parish Altar and Rosary Society.
