Mrs. Christiana Jordan, of Asbury Chapel neighborhood, died on Sunday last. She was born November 6, 1804, and was 78 years and 3 days old at her death. In the year 1832 she united with the M.E. Church, and for nearly 50 years has been a faithful Christian lady, consistently discharging the duties of mother and neighbor. Funeral services were held on Sabbath morning in Asbury Chapel, conducted by Rev. E.R. Johnson, assisted by Rev. Wainscott. Her body was interred in the Helt's Prairie Cemetery.
