The will of Wm. T. Dunaway names his niece Mary Elizabeth Price. The will was written in the town of Sydney, Va near Richmond in 1861 and presented in court in 1864.

In the 1870 Spotsylvania, VA census she lived with Mary A. Dunnaway who was 23.

Mrs. Ashton Stephens died at her residence in Stafford county, last Sunday morning. She was a member of the Methodist church, and a splendid lady. She leaves a husband and six children, the youngest being only twenty-four hours old at it's mother's death
