Donnie Branton Armour

Mr. Donnie Branton Armour, 51, of Cotton Valley, LA passed away Friday morning, February 10, 1995 at his residence following a long illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 11 at 2 p.m. at the Bailey Mortuary Chapel in Springhill with Rev. Claude Weatherford officiating. An eulogy was read by Daniel Colbert Beckman. Burial was in the Old Shongaloo Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA

Mr. Armour was a native of Bossier City, LA and had lived in Cotton Valley the past 11 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cotton Valley and was employed as an operations supervisor for LA Nevada Gas Company with 32 years service. He had served in the US Army Reserves and was preceded in death by his father, Mr. B.G. Armour, on April 24, 1978 and by a brother, Randy Armour, on November 11, 1989.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Brenda James Armour, Cotton Valley; three daughters, Donna Kay Holtzclaw and her husband, John, Taylor, AR; CherLynn Armour, Shongaloo, LA; Amber Sharlene Beckman; a son, Daniel Colbert Beckman; his mother, Mrs. Oleta Wise Williams, all of Cotton Valley, LA; and one grandson, John Hayden Holtzclaw.

Serving as pallbearers were Johnny Jenkins. Bruce Lee, Bill Maus, Terry Pierce, Jimmy Anderson, Wayne McCoy, Van Smith and Marshall Modisette.

Honorary pallbearers were Benny Orr, Steve Sutton, Ronnie Woodall, Roney Leonard, Gary Frazier, C.O. Bailey, III, Bill Castle, James Eason and Jack Gathright.
