Mrs. Ludwigs died Friday, March 24, at Floyd Valley hospital after a brief illness.
The former Clara L. Brabander, she was born Nov. 19, 1885, at Elkader, a daughter of the late Gerhard and Louisa Brust Brabander. She came to the Le Mars vicinity as a child.
She married William Ludwigs March 10, 1904 in Grant township. The couple farmed in the Le Mars area moving to LeMars in 1942. Mrs. Ludwigs was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, two brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors are three sons: William J. and Arthur, both of Sioux City, Fred of Stanton; five daughters, Mrs. Louise Lubben and Mrs. Ann Harms, Mrs, Henry (Edna) Kleene all of Le Mars; Mrs. Lloyd (Rose) Johnson of Hawarden; Mrs Clara Kluver of Sleepy Eye, Minn.; a brother, John Brabander of Pomona, Calif.; 27 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
