Joe Bill Shumate, 72, of Lebanon, died Saturday morning, Sept. 2, 2006, in San Juan Hospital in Monticello, Utah.
He was born Nov. 22, 1933, in Lebanon, to Joe and Maudie Elsie Vaughn Shumate, who preceded him in death.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Wayne and an infant, Paul; three sisters, Alice Hahn, Virginia Adkins, and Irene Morgan, and a stepsister, Doris Shumate.
On April 10, 1959, he married Patricia Ann Berry.
He had worked as a brick layer since 1962.
He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Services for Joe Bill Shumate will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Chapel.
Burial will be in the Dotson Cemetery, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
