With sorrow and regret we announce the sudden death of Mrs. Matt Forret at her home on Thursday, May 13th, 1915, after two days illness.

Eva Blazer was born in Des Moines, Iowa, January 5th, 1853. She resided there until her marriage to Mathias Forret on July 19th, 1875, after their marriage they lived on a farm in Boone township, Dallas County until six years ago, when they moved to a farm in Van Meter township, where she resided until her death.

To this union were born seven children two of who died in infancy and Annie, who lived to the age of four and one-half years. The surviving children, Joseph, Mrs. Eva Cushing, Jacob and Louis, together with their bereaved father are left to mourn the loss of the devoted wife and a kind and loving mother. Two sisters, Mrs. Anna Geniser, and Mrs. John Forret and an aged mother-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Forret, and seven grand children besides a large number of other realtives and friends are left behind.

Mrs. Forret was born and raised a Catholic to which faith she was constant until her death. On Saturday morning, May 15th, the funeral services were held at St. Boniface church, Waukee. There were many beautiful flowers sent by relatives and friends; High mass was read by the Rev. Father Larkin; her body was laid to rest in the Booneville cemetery. An unusually large number of relatives and friends showed their love and respect for this kind good woman by attending the funeral services. She will be missed in the church, by all her friends and her neighbors, but nowhere as in her homme where everyone was always welcome, and where her husband and children lived in the light of her peaceful love.

The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes forth to the sorrowing husband and family. We hope they may take consolation in knowing that she has passed a good and useful life and that their loss is her gain.
