Melezina A. “Millie” Allen, 88, La Crosse, Kansas, died Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.
Mrs. Allen was born March 4, 1927, in Liebenthal, Kansas, the daughter of Marcus and Cecilia (Legleiter) Kreutzer. She was a lifelong resident of Rush County, Kansas. She was a housekeeper at the Rush County Nursing Home, La Crosse, Kansas, before her retirement.
She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael’s Altar Society, and American Legion Post 33 Ladies Auxiliary, all of La Crosse, Kansas.
She married Lester A. Allen at Great Bend, Kansas. He preceded her in death February 25, 1993.
Survivors include: one son, Bruce Allen (Leslie), Scottsdale, Arizona; one daughter in law, Judy Allen, Junction City, Kansas; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Gerald “Jerry” Kreutzer (Neoma), La Crosse, Kansas; one sister, Mary Virginia Schaffer (Richard), Marion, Kansas; one brother in law, Francis Augustine; and one sister in law, Laura Kreutzer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Mark Allen; one brother, Francis Kreutzer; an infant sister, Mary Virginia Kreutzer; and two sisters, Rose Zimmer, and Betty Augustine.
Cremation has taken place.
