2008 obituary. SOUTH PORTLAND -- Florence E. Martz, 96, formerly of South Portland and Palmatto, Fla., died Feb. 18, 2008, at Springbrook Nursing Home in Westbrook with her family by her side. She was born on July 28, 1911, the daughter of Clinton and Evelyn (Carver) Crowley, and attended local schools. Florence was a homemaker who had worked for The Giant store in Millcreek for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, Beano, and her cockatiel, Molly. Florence is predeceased by her husband, Frank L. Martz in 1997; a grandson, Jack L. Cribby Jr. in 1979; her brothers, Carlton and Carroll Crowley and her sisters Claudia Coyne and Helen Upton. A private family funeral service will be held at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
