Lustine Upchurch Faulkner, 77, 1730 E. 26th St., died Sunday in Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Muncie, she had resided in Parker City for 10 years, returning to Muncie a year ago. Before that, she resided in Homosassa, Fla., for 20 years.

Mrs. Faulkner had worked for Ball Brothers (now Ball Corp.) as an inspector.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Ruth Ann Upchurch, Robert and Brenda Upchurch, and David and Hazel Upchurch, all of Muncie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Dennis Kadinger, Rome, Ga., and Jacqueline and Michael King, Eaton; two half-brothers and a sister-in-law, Buck and Betty Scroggins, Muncie, and John Scroggins, Homosassa, Fla.; a sister, Eileen Perry, Muncie; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her first husband, Earl Upchurch, died in 1973, and her second husband, Baby Ray Faulkner, died in 1989. A son, Leonard Earl Upchurch, a sister, Carmon Thomas, and two grandchildren are also deceased.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Memorials may be sent to the Delaware County Cancer Society, Little Red Door.
