He was born March 2, 1929 in Yount, MO, son of Charles McKennely and Pearl Jewel (Johnson) Head. He and Wilma N. Drinen were married on January 20, 1951. She survives in Perryville, MO.
Leeman had worked construction and drilling and blasting at Fred Weber North Rock Quarry. He was a member of Whitewater Christian Church and a US Marine Veteran.
Other survivors include five daughters and two sons; Randall (Dorthory) Head of Perryville, Sandra (Ted) Oberndorfer of Frohna, Denise (Donald) Seabaugh of Brewer, Kenneth (Loretta) Head of Brewer, Donna Chappius & Sheila Buchheit of Brewer and Phyllis Lueders & Ron Moore of Dittmer, MO, one sister; Patsy Sutterer of Omaha, NE, eighteen grandchildren, five step grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters; Glenda Stout, Ina Boesch, Victor Head, Virgil Head, Ada Winkler, Leanora Porter and Dale Head, one son-in-law; Petey Lueders.
