Edna Mae Pendleton, age 91, of Westphalia Retirement Center, formerly of Meta, went to sing with the angels in her heavenly home on Sunday, January 15, 2006. She was born in Maries County on October 30, 1914, a daughter of the late Louis (Lewis) and Henrietta (Orr) Bilyeu. On April 4, 1935, in Meta, she was married to Numan Pendleton, who preceded her in death on October 5, 2002.

She was a member of Meta Christian Church. She was also a loving mother and homemaker.

Those who survive her include: one son, Carthel "Pee Wee" Pendleton and wife Carol of Columbia; two daughters, Joyce Fick and husband Ralph of St. Louis and Loas Zimmer and husband Larry of Wardsville; two brothers, Harold Bilyeu of St. Elizabeth and Winifred Bilyeu of St. Clair; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Three sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, at Rekus Funeral Home in Meta. Rev. Manuel Seaton will officiate. Interment will be in Stokes Cemetery near Meta.
