She was the daughter of the late Thonwell Cox and Easter Graham. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ozell Cox and Annie Mae Austin and two brothers; James Thornton Cox and Ernest McRae. She was survived by her husband, John Sid Thompson, and one sister, Alma Rae Scott (Willie). Funeral was held at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
