Funeral services for Hugh Edward “Sonny” Frank, 84, of Lufkin will be held in the Clawson Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Frank was born March 3, 1931 in Bellville, Texas to the late Hugo Edward and Mattie (Matthews) Frank and passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in a local hospital.
Mr. Frank had resided in Lufkin since 1964. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Era on the USS Gardiners Bay 39. He was a supervisor for Mrs. Bairds Bread for twenty six years. Mr. Frank was a member of the Clawson Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Gerry; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jerry Frank; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Harold Nelson, and Joy and Jeff Carpenter; 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, who all called him “Paw Paw”; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and John Wielder; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mattie Lynn Parks; brother, Don Frank.
