Mrs. Jeannette Elizabeth Powell, 417 South Potomac St., died at the Western Maryland Hospital Saturday at 6:45 p.m. of complications after an illness of 7 years, aged 49 years.
She was born in Hagerstown, daughter of Leila Ridenour Brandenburg an d the late Roy G. Brandenburg.
She was an employee of Anderson Dry Cleaning Company and was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Besides her mother she is survived by sons, Malcolm H. Powell Jr., Sykesville; Richard L. Powell, Laurel, Md.; four grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Louise B. Fishel, Harrisburg; Mrs. Robert O. Miller, Freemont, Calif.; brother, Randolph L. Brandenburg, Beaver Creek and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dewitt L. Miller officiating. Burial will be made in Beaver Creek Cemetery. The casket will not be opened.
