James Stamps, age 78, of Lebanon, passed away on December 5, 2015. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the service at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, followed by interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jamie Walker, Terry Lynn, Robert Curtis, Michael Hammock, Harry Stamps, Joshua Bennett, and Chris Walker. Honorary Pallbearer: Matthew Lynn.

Mr. Stamps was retired from the City of Lebanon as Superintendent of Cedar Grove Cemetery. He is preceded in death by beloved wife of 57 years, Edith Stamps, parents Alpha Brown and Wilker Stamps, brother Luther Stamps, grandson Andrew Stamps, and son-in-law Robert Hodge. Mr. Stamps is survived by children: Patricia Bennett (Jessie), Martha Hall (Robert Jr.), Suzie Walker (Ronnie), Juanita Lynn (Terry), Henry Stamps, Paula Hodge, and Clai Stamps; grandchildren: Pam Morris, Joshua Bennett, Melony Curtis, Janie Walker, Jessica Entrekin, Christopher Walker, Matthew Lynn, Marah Chaffin, Stephanie Mathes, Katlyn Hodge, Brianna Stamps, Zachary Hodge, Kimberly Stamps Amber Stamps, and Aleshia Hodge; nineteen great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren: Jayden Hill and Myh Webster.
