Margaret, a native of Virginia Beach, was born Nov. 7, 1920. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Smith; and sons, James and Everett Smith.
Our mother will watch over her daughter, Sandi Payne and her husband Russ; her sons, Trenton Carroll and Buddy Smith and wife Sharon; brother, Howard Jones and wife Jeanette; plus 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to daughter-in-law, Stella Smith, for all her support and kindness. Also, special thanks to Connie, Barbara, Lynn and the staff at BayPointe Nursing for their compassion and kindness.
Margaret in all of her splendor, brought warmth, sunshine and happiness in the lives of whomever she met with a cheerful smile and kind word. We know the warmth she shared with family and friends brought peace and joy to many. Come join us in a celebration of Margaret Ellen Smith at Princess Anne Plaza Baptist Church, 245 S. Rosemont Road, Saturday, Dec. 5, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m.
