Emma was married to William E. Ellenberger on December 23, 1885. He died in July 1935. She was the mother of Dr. J. W. Earl Ellenberger. She was one of 12 children and the twin of Carl Rider.

Mrs. Emma L. Ellenberger, 1203 Logan avenue, died at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Earl Ellenberger, Wilkinsburg, on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Ellenberger had been making her home with her son for several months.

Mrs. Emma L. Ellenberger was a daughter of Jacob and Barbara (Rumberger) Rider and was born at Marengo, Centre county on August 19, 1857. On December 23, 1885 she was united in marriage at Gatesburg with William E. Ellenberger who died on July 31, 1935. She had been a resident of Tyrone for 47 years. She was the last of a family of 12 children. Her twin brother, Carl, passing away a number of years ago. She is survived by one son, Dr. Ellenberger, of Wilkinsburg.

She was a devoted member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and had served as president of the Ladies' Aid society for nearly 30 years.

Funeral services will be held at the Ellenberger home, 1203 Logan avenue, Tyrone, this afternoon, conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. Resler Shultz, followed by burial in Grandview cemetery
