She married Gary A. Steward Sr. in Skowhegan. He passed away in 1994.
She started her working career at Norrwock Shoe Company in Skowhegan, spending several years there. She then worked for Dexter Shoe Company for several years, followed by New Balance Shoe Company. Following the shoe shops she worked for American Laundry in Skowhegan, and after that she worked for Shirley's Diner in Skowhegan for several years.
She is survived by her three children, Gary Steward Jr. and his wife Crystal of Cornville, Brian Steward and his wife Ellie of Canaan, Barbara Robbins and her husband Jeff of Skowhegan; five sisters, Laura Chapman of Skowhegan, Linda Dwyer of Skowhegan, Jane Towle of Skowhegan, Patricia Brown of Skowhegan, Alice Berry and her husband Raymond of Skowhegan, one brother Elmer Corson and his wife Joan of Madison; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Mandy, Cynthia, Daniel, Brian, Tyler, Shelby, Haley, Laura; nine great-grandchildren, Dakota, Dominic, Kaylie, Cameron, Madison, Gavin, Reagan, Carter, Colten; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mom and dad; her husband; three sisters, Beverly Berry, Minnie Patterson, Sheila Corson, three brothers, Rodney Corson, Chester Corson, and Kenneth Corson.
