Adele Pike, 72, of McAlester, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, in McAlester. Born March 7, 1943, in McAlester, she was the daughter of William and Edith (Short) Pike. She was raised in McAlester and had lived in Texas. She married Patrick Skaggs in 1962 in Texas. She worked as a waitress and restaurant manager in McAlester and Texas for several years. She also assisted with the elderly in their homes. She enjoyed shopping, particularly at Wal-Mart. Her pride and joy were all her grandchildren and she enjoyed her time spent being with them. She grew up in the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include her children’s father, Patrick Skaggs, of McAlester; daughters, Michelle Gupton and husband, William, of McAlester, and Patricia Russell and husband, Kenneth, Seagoville, Texas; son, Patrick Wade Skaggs and wife, Angela, of Eufaula. Also, grandchildren, Brian Skaggs and fiance’, Brenda, of McAlester, Johnny Kennedy and wife, Beth, of McAlester, Theresa Kennedy and fiancee’, Jonathan, of Oktaha, Jennifer Wells and husband, Chris, Seagoville, Texas, Derrick Russell, Crandall, Texas, Joseph Russell, Mesquite, Texas, Joshua Russell and wife, Emily, Crandall, Texas, Ashley Lirette and husband, Kyle, of Checotah, Christian Skaggs, of Eufaula, Heather Skaggs, of Eufaula, Levi Skaggs, of Eufaula, and Kaleb Skaggs, of Eufaula; great-grandchildren, Abby, Kyra, Ally, Addison and Cheyenne. And, sisters, Fay Voelker and Sarah Munoz, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edith Pike; a son, Anthony Eugene Pike, and sisters, Laverne and Iona. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Nov. 27, at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Pastor Tim Turner officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Skaggs, Johnny Kennedy, Derrick Russell, Joseph Russell, Joshua Russell and Christian Skaggs.
