EARL S. SHAFFER, 69, of Pomeroy, Ohio, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., died Jan. 20, 1990, in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.
He was a retired maintenance mechanic for Kaiser Aluminum, Ravenswood, W.Va., and an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving: wife, Gathel; sons, Robert F. of North Carolina, Thomas L. of Council Grove, Kan.; daughter, Belinda Jeffers of Pomeroy; brother, Ralph D. of Givens, W.Va.; eight grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Home,. Middleport, with the Rev. Clark Baker officiating. Burial will be in. Meigs Memory Gardens, Pomeroy. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
