He was the second of twelve children born to Joseph "Joe" Matthew Delaney Willard Wilson and wife Lucy "Lulu" Marion Caldwell Wilson. Pinkney was sickly from the very beginning. The doctor told them he probably wouldn't live too long. His father nursed the baby day & night & still managed to work a full days work. He was determined that the little guy was going to make it. When he died, his father was broken-hearted & declared that he would never again be that close to one of his kids & he wasn't until Celia. When they went through the same type of thing with Celia, in Stella, Oklahoma, he was a broken man & never again was really close with any of his children. Joe he was a very loving & kind man but he never physically showed it to his children.

Headstone reads: "PINKNEY C. M. son of J.M.D.W. & L.M.WILSON, BORN Feb 11, 1893 DIED June 5 1894. PINKNEY IS GONE, BUT NOT FORGOTTEN."
