Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in Harveson & Cole Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Mary Adelaide Cameron, 87, granddaughter of one of Cleburne's founders. Burial will take place at Sweetwater Cemetery beside the body of her husband, Rev. Charles S. Cameron, a West Texas minister.
Mrs. Cameron, a semi-invalid for several months, died Thursday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ruble Gillam, 3536 College, where she had stayed since 1938.
Her grandfather, T. J. Barr, brought his family to Texas in a wagon train from Jackson, Tenn., her birthplace. They settled in Cleburne. Her husband held pastorates in several West Texas towns, the last in Anson.
Also surviving are two sons, T. E. of Dallas and W. C. Cameron of Houston; a sister, Mrs. C. T. Williams of Forth Worth; a brother, T. J. Hemphill of Cleburne; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
