Shirley Morey Aubrey, 84, of East Syracuse and Cicero, passed away Sunday at University Hospital after several illnesses. She was a 1941 graduate of East Syracuse High School and retired after 18 years at Bristol Laboratories. A member of Andrews Memorial United Methodist Church, North Syracuse , she and her husband enjoyed traveling with the Rev. Dr. R. David Oertel. She was a person who loved to be at home and had many hobbies, especially creating prize-winning crochet work.
Mrs. Aubrey's husband of 58 years, Otis E. Aubrey Sr., who had worked for Niagara Mohawk, predeceased her on November 9, 1999, and her son, Otis E. Aubrey Jr., who had been in the Air Force, predeceased her in 1984.
Surviving are two grandsons, Stephan and John Aubrey; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Bogges; and her families of California and Texas.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Fergerson Funeral Home with entombment following in Sunset Chapel Mausoleum of Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, 215 South Main St., North Syracuse .
