Chancellor William Brower was born March 14, 1876 at Cherry Dell, the son of Daniel and Mary Morris Brower. He departed this life Aug. 13, 1954 at the age of 78 years and 5 months. He resided in Marion and Shelby counties all of his life with the exception of seven years which were spent in Stillwater, Okla. He was married to Julia May Woolfe March 6, 1898 by Rev. T. S. Scott of Philadelphia. He united with the Bethany Baptist church at an early age. He is survived by three children, Earl Brower, Mrs. Carl Redmon, Mrs. Ruby Goodwin; twelve grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and one brother, Charley Brower. His wife and two children, Mrs. Myrtle Wood and Raymond Brower, also three grandchildren preceded him in death. He leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death.
