With feelings of deep sorrow, we pen this tribute to the memory of a kind friend and neighbor whose sudden death is universally deplored. Louis C. Pacquette died at his home about three miles northwest of Shullsburg on Tuesday July 6, 1897, of heart disease, aged sixty-five years and nine months. Deceased had resided here for many years and was a highly respected citizen.
The funeral took place on Thursday from St. Matthews church and his remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery adjoining the city. The grief-stricken family have the sympathy of all in the sad hour of affliction.
