He was the founder and pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church. He studied under several pastors and home studies. He received his honorary doctorate degree under Dr. Gardner Gentry of Louisville, Ky., for his knowledge and achievements in the Lord's ministry. He was a 1959 graduate of Clear Spring High School.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Louise Horst Clark of Clear Spring; one daughter, Shari Louise Tedrick of Clear Spring; three sons, Clinton Lynn Clark, Brian Clark, and William Daniel Clark, all of Clear Spring; one brother, Ray E. Clark of Clear Spring; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Fay Louise Burkett.
Services were held at Mountain View Baptist Church, Hagerstown; burial was in the St. Paul Cemetery in Clear Spring; arrangements by Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring.
