HUMBLE DIED SINGING ....
Stricken With Heart Disease While Entertaining His Children

While singing .... for the entertainment of his children, William F. Humble dropped dead at his home, 3621 North Broadway, Sunday morning.

Mr. Humble, who was 38 years old and a workman in a lumber yard, apparently was in fine health. He had worked Saturday and the family had arranged to take Sunday dinner with a relative.

After breakfast the father sat in the kitchen with his four small children, amusing the little ones by whistling and singing ragtime melodies.

He was in particularly high spirits. After singing several songs .... he remarked to his little daughter that his throat felt strangely dry ....

Suddenly he fell from his chair to the floor, his head striking the stove door. Mrs. Humble called a physician, but her husband died as he was being placed upon a bed.

Meanwhile the relative, his wife's mother, had prepared a savory dinner. When her visitors failed to arrive in time she made inquiries and found that tragedy had entered the home in the midst of mirth.
