MAN DIES OF HEART FAILURE
Was Found Early On Monday Morning In Bed At The Crandall House.
CORONER HELD INQUEST
Body Will Be Taken To Sand Hill Cemetery Today For Burial.
A man by the name of Eddie Humble, who was well known by the residents along the river, was found dead in his bed Monday morning about 4 o'clock, at the home of Sam Crandall, on the upper commons, where the deceased had been for some time making his home.
He died of heart failure and without medical attendance. He was 38 years old.
After he was found dead Coroner McIntosh of Allendale was notified of the fact and the body was taken to the Walters undertaking apartments to be held for the coroner's arrival. It was learned that the man was homeless and a dweller along the river. He had been suffering for some time from dropsy. The night before his death John Glick had sat up with him until a late hour, and when he departed he declared Humble was seemingly in good spirits and better than he had been.
In the afternoon Coroner McIntosh came down to the city and the inquest was held at the court house. The jury returned a verdict, finding that the deceased had come to his death on account of heart failure.
The body will be buried in Sand Hill cemetery today.
