Dorothy was born on January 11, 1920, a native of Roganville, she attended school there until the ninth grade then graduated from Kirbyville High School in 1938. She moved to Jasper and went to work at Morgan & Lindsey’s Store and later worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. She managed the Pollard Street Apartments from 1970 to 1978, in Jasper. Dorothy raised goats and sold milk for over 30 years in the Jasper area. She was a Charter Member of the Jasper Church of Christ and attended faithfully for over 65 years.
She is survived by her special family and children.
Preceded in death by parents Hulbert and Esther Behannon, husband of 62 years Louis Brown, children Louis Allen and Monetta, and sisters Elvie Primrose and Elaine Falkner, brother Hassell Behannon.
