Celebration of Elvie Behannon Primrose’s life will be held 2pm Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Roganville Baptist Church in Roganville, Texas.

Burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be 6-9pm Tuesday February 3, 2015 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas.

Elvie Behannon Primrose, age 91, a native and life long resident of Roganville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 30, 2015.

Elvie was born September 19, 1923 in Roganville, Texas.

She was a 1942 Kirbyville High School graduate and was a long time active member of Roganville Baptist Church. She loved her family and they appreciated her being their Prayer Warrior.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lawrence G. Primrose, brother Hassell Behannon (18666480), sister Elaine Behannon Falkner (12922870), father and mother Hulbert and Esther Behannon.

Known affectionly as “Grannie” by her family, she is survived by her daughter Brenda Primrose Call of Roganville, son Larry H. Primrose and wife Lona of Roganville, sister Dorothy Behannon Brown of Jasper, brother Franklin Behannon and wife Brenda of Jasper, grandchildren, Sammy Vaughn and wife Olivia of Hickory Creek, Texas, Billy Vaughn and wife Kelly of Woodville, Texas, Julia Vaughn Sisk and husband John of Arlington, Texas, Larry H. Primrose II of Jasper and Lisa Primrose Phillips of Houston, great-grandchildren, Phillip King, Amber Vaughn, Ashley Vaughn, Kristina McCormick, Kalyn Hoke, Jordan Vaughn, Joseph Sisk, Logan Primrose, Haley Wilkinson, Gabriel Torres and Lurabeth Cottle, great-great grandchildren, Rylan and Nico. She is also survived by a host of other family, friends, nieces and nephews.
