"Walter C Bodamer, Sr, 77, of 242 Prospect St, died at 12:40 am Tuesday in Titusville Hospital. He was admitted there Sunday following an extended illness. He was born in Titusville, Sept 24, 1896, the son of the late Chris and Mary Crotty Bodamer. Mr Bodamer was married to the former Hazel Fish, Aug 13, 1921, at Ripley, NY. He was employed at Queen Cutlery as a finisher for over 35 years. Prior to his retirement 15 years ago, he worked as a painter. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the US Army, and a member of St Titus' Church. Mr Bodamer is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs Edward (Beverly) Barker of Titusville, RD 3, Mrs G Thomas (Agnes) Dibble of Titusville and Mrs C Frank (Anne) Puleo of Oil City; three sons, Walter C Bodamer, Jr, and Willard L Bodamer of Titusville and Paul J Bodamer of Cleveland; 13 grandchildren including a grandson, Dominic Bodamer, who was raised by Mr and Mrs Bodamer; two great-grandchildren. A daughter, Evelyn, died in 1929 (sic) [1928], and a daughter, Catherine, died in 1968; four brothers and one sister died previously. Friends may call at the Gordon B Garrett Funeral Home....Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday at St Titus Church with Rev William D Smith as celebrant. Interment will be in St Catharine's Cemetery."
