Funeral services for Mrs. Maudine Latham Henley, age 92 of Opelika, Alabama will be held Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. David Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Garden Hill Cemetery in Opelika. Mrs. Henley passed away Sunday September 4, 2011 at the Clay County Hospital. She born in Clay County but had lived for most of her life in the Opelika area where she had worked for over 20 years at West Point Pepperal Mills. She was also a member of Airview Baptist Church. Mrs. Henley is survived by three sons; Billy Montgomery of Tallassee, Noel Montgomery and Barry Montgomery of Opelika, two step-daughters; Gloria Wallace and Joyce Scott, two sisters; Bessie Lowrimore of Pensacola, Florida, and Essie Watts of Bluff Springs, one brother; Lemuel Latham of Goldville, 16 grandchildren and a host of Great-Grandchildren, and Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Mason Latham and Willie Elizabeth Albright Latham, husbands, John Joe Montgomery and Henry Lee Henley, two daughters; Mary Dawson and Ruth Atchley, six sisters, two brothers, one granddaughter; Terri Padgett, one grandson; Randy Miller, two step-daughters; Flora Meldin and Mary Ann Brewer, and one step-son; Phillip Henley. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville Tuesday September 6, 2011 from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Wednesday.
