" Funeral services for Arthur L. Parks were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Sutherland Funeral Home, Dr. J. M. Lewis of the Sandwich Congregational Church officiated. Burial took place in the Leland Cemetery. The pall bearers were Arthur Maeser, of Somonauk, Charles Arnold of Sandwich, H. J. Von Ohlen, Charles Olson, W. Wesson and George Clapsaddle, all of Leland.
Arthur L. Parks, son of Edward and Margaret Gould Parks, was born in Victor Township, where he spent the greater part of his life. He was united in marriage to Lucy Ella Bend on February 12, 1891. In 1927 he moved to Indiana and about a year ago he moved to Alabama. He died in Atmore, AL Monday, August 6, 1934.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. George Smiley of Waterman, Mrs. Harold Christian of Metropolis and Jane Parks and one son, Shelby Parks of Victor, three brothers, William Parks of New Auburn, WI, and Edward and Oscar Parks of Kansas and one sister, Mrs. Eva. Vickers, also of Kansas."
