Charles A. Wilhite is Claimed By Death

Charles A. Wilhite, 68, of La Grange, for the past five years pipeline walker for the Shell company, passed away at the local hospital Sunday, December 8, 1935. Mr. Wilhite was born on September 12, 1868 in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas, to Washington Marion and Sarah Ann "Jaynes" Wilhite.

Funeral services were set for Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Reichert and Kneip funeral parlor. Interment in the new cemetery, the Rev. J. E. Roth, Baptist minister, and the Masonic lodge, conducting the services.

Several months ago Mr. Wilhite became ill and underwent an operation. He soon recovered, however, and was back on the job when illness overcame him suddenly three days before he passed away.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Della Wilhite and two children at home, James and Ruthene, and the following other sons and daughters: Arthur of Kansas,(Mattie) Emmett of Idaho, Elmer of Cushing, Okla., (Iva) Walter of Oklahoma City, Okla.,(Flaye) Cecil of Montana, Mrs. R.E. Dollar (Edith) of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Walter Durrenberger (Juanita) of Houston, and Mrs. Arthur Martin (Jennie) of Cushing, Okla.; two (2) sisters, Mrs. Ida Best of Decatur and Mrs. E.F. Lovelace of Temple, Okla.(Lena).
