Mrs. Alexander was born the daughter of the late Alice White Jackson and John Jackson. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was retired from Woodland Heights Hospital. She has resided in Lufkin most of her life. The past three years she has resided in Pearland at Windsong Care Center.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Sheryl Alexander, and David and Sherry Alexander; several grandchildren and their spouses along with numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Poe and Johnnie Boston; numerous nieces, nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Alexander Sr.; daughter, Katherine Minshew; sisters, Mabel Knight and Winnie Massingill; and grandsons, John David Alexander and Jeremy Alexander.
