Funeral services for John H. Jackson, 70, of 918 East Doziere Ave, Lufkin, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in the Fairview Church with Rev. Edmund Gray and Rev. Theron McClendon officiating.

Interment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Jackson died early Thursday morning in a Lufkin hospital following a brief illness.

He was born in Many, Louisiana, August 12, 1888, and had lived in Angelina County for the past 25 years. He had been employed as a night watchman for the Texas Electric Co-Op, Inc. for the past 12 years. He was a member of the Burke Baptist Church.
