Guadalupe was born April 7, 1928 in Estacado, Texas to Salome and Victoria Garcia. She married Thomas Duran in June 1950 at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was employed at Jack Hopkins Cleaners for 15 years and also worked at Clovis Steam Laundry and Cleaners.
Guadalupe is survived by her husband Thomas Duran of the home and by a grand niece Michelle Madrid, who she helped raise, she loved Michelle like a daughter. One grandson Clarence Thomas with wife Danielle Duran and three great-grandchildren Dillon, Desiree, Payton, all of Colorado Springs, CO, one sister Mela with husband Serviano Armijo of Clovis, NM and many nieces and nephews.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents Salome and Victoria Garcia, sisters Marianna and (Roman) Chavez, Adelina and (Lucerio) Trujillo, Josepha and (Pedro) Alires, Tera and (Frank) Sanchez, Dora and (Thomas) Sandoval, Flora and (Abenico)Gonzales, Erlinda and (Mike) Marquez and brother Ernesto Garcia and their only son Clarence Duran.
Funeral Services: 10:00 am Saturday, September 26, 2015
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Clovis, New Mexico

Pallbearers: Johnny Trujillo, David Marquez, Andrew Duran, Jr., Joey Aragon, John T. Duran and Frank Marquez.
