Evelyn was born on July 14, 1918 in Lehi, Utah to James B. and Armitta Peterson Clark. She was the tenth of eleven children, and was the last survivor of her siblings. She graduated from Lehi High School and BYU, and taught school for 28 1/2 years. She married the love of her life, Hal J. Scott, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on December 19, 1941. They lived on their farm in Lakeview, Utah for 74 years, and enjoyed their children: Kent and Helen (Malad, ID); Loye Ann Neil and Wayne (deceased) (American Fork); Margie (deceased); Donna Lea Gurney and Paul (Lehi); and Hal Canby and Sherrie (Lehi).
Evelyn died on September 19, 2015 in Cedar Hills, Utah. She was 97 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Lakeview 1st Ward Chapel, 1700 North Geneva Road, Provo, Utah.
