John O. Ellington, 56, of 3216 Carman Ave., an employee of the secretary of state's office, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday at his home.
He was born in Springfield, the son of Hall and Minnie Bachhelm Ellington.
Mr. Ellington was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church and International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 916.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret; one sister, Mrs. Eileen Williamson of Uniontown, Pa.; one brother, Alfred of Springfield.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Staab Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Hendricks will officiate.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
