He was a former city police officer and fireman.
He lived in Springfield for 55 years.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
He was born April 5, 1889 in Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie; two sons, John and Alfred, both of Springfield; and one daughter, Mrs. Eileen Williamson, Uniontown, Pa.; one brother, John, Leslie, Mo.; one grandson and three granddaughters.
