Mary Jane Holley Hunter Ashcraft, age 81, of Rye, AR, passed away July 24, 2015 at BCMC in Warren, AR.

Born February 4, 1934 in Bradley County, AR, she was the daughter of the late James Hillard and Minnie May (Newman) Holley.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Hunter (d.1954), and their daughter Mary Delorice Hunter Nation (d.2013); brothers, Delbert and Jimmy Joe Holley; and sisters, Lois Larene Calvert and Wilma Arline Rippy.

Surviving her are her husband, Everett Glen Ashcraft and their son, Scotty Daniel Ashcraft, both of Rye; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers Sam Bob Holley of Rye, and Billy Ray Holley of Thackerville, OK.

Mrs. Ashcraft was a long-time employee at both Burlington Industries, Monticello (13.5 yrs) and the Arkansas Human Development Center, Warren (18.5 yrs) from which she retired, and from which she received their "Arkansas Employee of the Year" award in 1997. She was also employed with the Cleveland County Health Department (6 yrs).

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at Enon Missionary Baptist Church at Rye, where she was a long-time, faithful member (1954). Burial in Union Cemetery, Rye; Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello, AR.
