Johan Heinrich "Henry" LINDERMAN Sr. is the son of Johann Justus LINDERMAN and his wife Anna Elizabeth IMSWEILER of Germany who immigrated to America in 1740. They arrived on 25 November 1740 at the port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. By December 1740 the family settled in Germantown Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania as new immigrants.
Later his parents moved into North Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Johan Heinrich LINDERMAN Sr. age twenty five married on 10 Mar 1747 in Chester County, Pennsylvania to Anna Margretha "Margaret" UHLIN age twenty.
Johan Heinrich "Henry" LINDERMAN Sr. and Anna Margretha "Margaret" UHLIN had at least five children:
1. Johann Heinrich "Henry" LINDERMAN Jr, b. 1753
2. John William LENDERMAN, b. 1754
3. Mary LENDERMAN, b. 1755
4. Margaret LINDERMAN, b. 1758
5. Peter LENDERMAN, b. 1760
It is believed that the Johann Heinrich "Henry" LINDERMAN Sr. family with their first two children migrated about 1755 into colonial Orange County, North Carolina to settle in one Germany communities. Three more children were added to the family while they resided in Randolph County, North Carolina. Most likely by the end of the Revolutionary War conflicts in North Carolina the parents and some of the children migrated elsewhere.
