Funeral services for Mr. Billy Brumfield, 91, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, September 14, 2015 from the chapel of Capps Funeral Home. The Reverend Justin Knight will officiate. Mr. Brumfield, a resident of Billdora Senior Care in Tylertown, died there on Friday, September 11, 2015.
He was born December 7, 1923 in Walthall County, the son of the late Cullen Lafayette and Grace Estelle Fortenberry Brumfield. He was a member of Tylertown Baptist Church and an avid dominio, yatzee, and bingo player. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Lula Alice Meadows and two brothers: Bob and Frank Brumfield.
Mr. Brumfield is survived by two brothers: Roland Brumfield of Tylertown; and Jewell and wife, Evelyn, Brumfield of Bogalusa, Louisiana. Two sisters: Willie Jean and husband, Troy, Coward of Noxapater, Mississippi; and Jennie Lynn and husband, Gene, Norman of Summit, Mississippi. A host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Ronald Brumfield; Troy Coward, Jr.; James Coward; Brian Brumfield; Jason Norman; Cullen Norman; Frank Brumfield; and Barry Brumfield.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
