JOHN A. MURRAY

John A. Murray, 76, a checker for Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Company for the last 30 years, died Saturday in a Charleston hospital. He lived at 808 Hendricks Avenue.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Cora Murray; four daughters, Mrs. Reba Cavender, Mrs. Amy O'Connors and Mrs. Nellie Foster, all of Charleston, and Mrs. Pearl Branhan of Tacoma, Washington; five sons, Eugene, J. Bryant, Ross and Hubert A., all of Charleston, and Charles R. of Richmond, Virginia; a brother, S. H. Murray of Chester; two step-sons, John L. Hambrick and Chester Kightlinger, both of Charleston; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ester Reveal of Charleston; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Florida Street Church of God with Rev. W. Albert Donaldson officiating. Burial will be in Sattes cemetery.

The body will remain at the Long-Johnson-Fisher mortuary until one hour before services.
