Susan Zook was born September 20th 1806; died August 12th, 1887, aged 80 years, 10 months and 22 days. She was the mother of 10 children, three of whom preceeded her and seven survive her. She has been a true and loving Mother to all and a consistent member of the German Baptist Church for upward of 60 years. We, as her children, sincerely believe she is entitled to all the happy promises given for those who are faithful to the end. Adieu to all. She has gone to rest."
