Sharon was a twin. Her twin sister, Karen died at birth. Also an older brother, Harold, preceded her in death. Sharon was afflicted with a bout of whooping cough at about nine months of age which left her handicapped throughout her short life. At age twenty-one she passed away after developing a case of influenza.
