Leoti -- Genevieve "Jean" Kreutzer, 77, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Greeley County Long Term Care in Tribune.

She was born April 8, 1936, in LaCrosse, to Andrew and Veronica Herman Depperschmidt. A resident of Leoti since 1960, moving from Garden City, Mrs. Kreutzer was a homemaker.

On Dec. 29, 1954, she married Robert Kreutzer in LaCrosse. He survives.

Other survivors include four children, Faye Kreutzer and Kaye Kjaer, both of Hutchinson, Jim Kreutzer of Wray, Colo., and Curtis Kreutzer of Leoti; three sisters, Mary Stieitz of LaCrosse, Wilma Depperschmidt of Oklahoma City, and Rita Liggett of Rush Center; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, Anne Young, Alvin Depperschmidt, Edward Depperschmidt, Lorraine Shaffer, Elmer Depperschmidt and Ralph Depperschmidt; and a great-grandson.

Vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Marienthal. Visitation hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.

Memorials are suggested to Leoti Emergency Medical Technicians, Greeley County Hospice, or Greeley County Health Center Long Term Care in Tribune, in care of the funeral home.
