Roberta L. Fawcett, Galesburg Chapel 52, of Galesburg, died at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born February 19, 1963 in Galesburg, the daughter of Robert and Anna (Gilbert) Stroops.
She is survived by three children, Adam (and Rebekah) Fawcett of Galesburg and Alicia Smith and Jasmine Fawcett, both of Bloomington; grandchildren, Austin, Alexis, and Kavious Fawcett, Malieki Fawcett, Na’Yahni Smith, and Va’Najj Unger; a brother, Robbie Stroops of Galesburg; and a sister, Debbie McCormack of West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Tammie Fawcett on April 15, 2014; and a brother, John Stroops.
Roberta had worked as an LPN at Marigold Health Care Center and Heartland Health Care Center. She graduated from Galesburg High School and Carl Sandburg College. She was a member of the Salvation Army.
Cremation will be accorded. No visitation or service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of her son, Adam.
