Sarah was a daughter of John T. Bowers & Mary 'Polly' Hoover. She first married Charles William Botkin on March 3, 1874 in Pendleton, West Virginia. He was a son of Joseph Botkin and Margaret Sims. After he passed on April 17, 1882 she married Urias Losh on November 2, 1884 in Highland County, Virginia. he was a son of Joshua Losh and Mary 'Jane' Bodkin.
Sarah passed on Jan,. 8 1892 at Bull Pasture Mountain, Highland County, Virginia at the age of 40.
Two of her children from her previous marriage to Charles were living in the home of Urias in the 1900 United States Federal Census- Stonewall District, Highland, Virginia.
